Guided by the gracious movement of Spirit that prompted the gift of The Sacred Waters Center for Restoration and Retreat* to the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia, I am happy to announce that our online centering and welcoming prayer group practices will move to the new Sacred Waters online community platform as of Friday, September 19. Rest and restoration are at the heart of contemplative practices, so my personal hope is that this shift will provide a reciprocal benefit, especially as more practitioners add their services to the community platform.
Hopefully we’ll find that this transition expands contemplative community, providing a warm and supportive space to connect with Spirit, share our experiences, and develop our knowledge about centering and welcoming prayer.
A couple of other important changes:
- The meeting day/time will move to Fridays, from noon to 1pm PT. (Hopefully, this shift will make it more convenient for people to join us.)
- We are introducing a $20/month fee, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Sacred Waters.
- Sacred Waters uses the Green Bottle affordability scale, so the practices will remain free for whomever needs this accommodation, while those with expendable income are encouraged to offer more. (Though the fee for this service is not tax-deductible, Sacred Waters is a 501c3 and tax deductible donations are very much appreciated.)
